We'll work out a list, then work down it. And I'll see which of the hospital's consultants can help with the magical route.

[ He nods at that. ] There's only so much time I can examine the roof and Derek's kind of ... adamant that I at least try and sleep so I am literally bored out of my mind on top of everything else.

Knock-out drops should help with that. Meanwhile alcohol screws with your liver, your sleeping patterns and your head, so stay off it for now.

I haven't been drinking since I got back. It was never a big thing anyway. [ A pause. ] My dad kind of has an issue with it.
